To enable the console, make sure the bAllowConsole is set to 1 in your oblivion.ini file. If it's not there, you can add it in the [Interface] section. In order to restore its functionality, unplug the receiver for your Media Center Remote (or if it's built in use the device manager to disable or uninstall "ITECIR Infrared Receiver" from "Human Interface Devices"). This will allow you to use the console, as the receiver interferes with Oblivion's programming. Additionally, a built-in infrared receiver on laptops can cause the same issue and disabling it in the Device Manager has proven to fix the console function. Alternatively, a Ring of Console mod has been created to circumvent this problem. You can also use Change Console Key mod (requires OBSE and latest oblivion patch) to change the key or use Oblivion Console Spell (requires OBSE) to open the console. Using either of these will avoid any difficulties that the Ring of Console may have saving the game while toggling menus.
Notes: Dropped or falling items will stop moving. Killing an NPC while collision is toggled off will seem to freeze the creature, leaving it in the exact position it was in when you delivered the killing blow. It will still die, but it will not fall down until the command is off. If you die or get paralyzed while this command is on, your character will fly off opposite the final blow. This may mean flying into the air, or through the floor of the cell/world. This is followed by the usual "load last save?" screen the first time, but doing it again may cause the game to hang or crash.

The gates generate a random plane of oblivion along with a random sigil stone. Go through the tower all the way to the top, till you reach the sigil stone. Simply save the game before the stone spawns and you can re-randomize the stone by re-loading the game, if it's not to your liking.
There is a way for you to get your sneak skill to rise very quickly in the game. When you have the option to join the theives guild by meeting Armand at the Imperial Water Front garden around 11 pm, accept his task. He will offer you the option to buy lockpicks. Don't buy any. Go into sneak mode and go behind him. Not only will you get the lockpicks from him for free, you can also repeatedly pickpocket him to build up your sneak skill and all he'll say is to go ahead, he doesn't need it anyway.
The developers described challenges and advantages with the game's format: the audio interface had to work together with the rest of the audio, fitting in but also being distinct enough that its function is clear to players; but being audio-based, the developers were not limited by what they could show visually, and instead could rely on players' imaginations and use word choices, sound design, and tone of voice.[8] Because of the format, Dansky found it important to keep the writing tight and focused, to make sure that they keep the player's attention.[11] Due to some heavy themes in the game, such as the character Hector's alcoholism, the developers took care to do research beforehand, to be able to depict the subjects accurately and respectfully.[5] The branching dialogue had to be planned out carefully, as each branching point would drastically increase the amount of dialogue; Grossman mapped out the structures of the conversations, which Dansky then filled out with dialogue.[6]
The full game was eventually released for free by Paradox Interactive on October 29, 2020,[4][12] for Android, iOS, and smart speakers,[3][4] on which it is played using the virtual assistants Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, or the Earplay mobile app.[4]

The Elder Scrolls Arena map size is larger than just about any of the future titles in the franchise thanks to random generation - though it can be debated whether this counts. Some games are surprisingly large. Oblivion, for example, is actually bigger than Skyrim's or Morrowind's map size, despite Cyrodiil being smaller or the same size as either province. Some games are easy to forget about, too, like Battlespire or the mobile game Blades. Although nobody knows the specifics of their respective map sizes, one can effectively guess at their map sizes based on how free exploration is. Some games, though, have almost no exploration at all - and no RPG elements.
Ultima Weapon comes fully upgraded with 13 Strength and 13 Magic with potent abilities and form changes attached, making it the best overall weapon in the game. The Classic Notes keyblade obtained by completing all 23 Classic Kingdom mini-games boasts 11 Strength and 14 Magic, which means it has even higher magical potency. Fully upgraded, the Oathkeeper is balanced with 12 Strength and 12 Magic, granting access to a Light Form and a Double Form finisher that lets Sora wield two keyblades at once. Oblivion's final stats are 13 Strength and 11 Magic, making it just as strong as Ultima while granting access to Dark Form and Double Form.
